Fun at the Fair

We went to the International Plowing Match (IPM) on Saturday. It was a great day and the girls really enjoyed seeing the animals! Squeaky even got to put her hands under a florescent light to see all the germs. Grandpa and Gramma met up with us there and kindly took the girls home a little earlier so that Dennis and I could enjoy the rest of the IPM by ourselves. We took the opportunity to get our blood pressure checked at the mobile Vascular Health unit and poked around the Christian booths and bookstore. Our blood pressures are both normal, by the way. :)

Squeaky was especially interested in the cows. I don't think she really realized how big they were.

I was thrilled that our Button-girl didn't object to being held by Grandpa and Gramma at all! We've been having months of trouble with her not wanting to go to anyone except Mommy and sometimes Daddy, if he's lucky. :)

Squeaky was a little scared to be riding so high, but Gramma kept her hand on Squeaky's back to give her some confidence. :)

Afterward Grandpa and Gramma watched the girls and put them to bed so that Dennis and I could go out to celebrate his birthday. We went to a place in town called The Spaghetti House. Now, those of you who know me well know that I despise spaghetti, so this was a special moment for Dennis. Funny thing is, as much as he loves spaghetti, he ordered a panzorotti (pizza folded in half and fried with sauce on top), and I had sea food! :) The food was delicious, and it was wonderful to spend a little time together.

Anyway, nice to get an update on your lives. Your daughters are very cute and congrats on another one on the way.
