Never a dull moment

Last night Button was wildly brandishing a library book and whacked Squeaky in the eye. I didn't see it happen, but Dennis said that Squeaky was quite put out.

This morning her eye was swollen and she didn't want to open it. She wailed and cried and cried and wailed and we finally decided to take her in to get looked at. I called the telehealth hotline and they suggested the ER over visiting the day clinic as the day clinic wouldn't be supplied with the right things to check out eyes. So poor Dennis spent from 10am until 3pm today sitting in the hospital with Squeaky. He got a good snuggle out of the deal since she wasn't feeling up to doing much.

Anyway, the doctor pried her eye open and declared that it is just a scratch on her eyeball. He prescribed some eye ointment to keep infection at bay and gave her some extra strong painkiller. And don't forget the classy eyepatch. That is the best part!

I liked your Am. patriotic bandage, Lael. We hope your eye heals up really soon. Meanwhile, stay out of the way of flying books. We love you all. We'll be praying that your eye heals quickly. Love, GR and GR

haha, Sarah-
I'm a scrapbooker through and through...

"Oh so sorry you're in pain, kid, here let me grab the camera..." :)

But she smiled for the pictures, can't you see? I'm just teaching her priorities.

That is a fancy eye patch that you got, Squeaky. Glad to hear that it was only a scratch and not worse. Some break that Dennis got from packing-all those hours in the ER. Love, A. Jean
