Making Faces

Button and Winnie are masters at face making. Button always has some interesting thing to show us. She also specializes in speaking with an accent- she shows some talent for this, I think... but I'm not sure where that is going to take her. Maybe straight to her room? ("Mahtha, A don't lak this foood...")

Winnie specializes in the Snoopy-vulture look. You know the one, don't you?

Squeaky has been working on her drawings.

Here she was trying her hand at looking at a picture and drawing it.

Here's a little mouse that she imagined up.

Hey, those pictures hit the spot. Can't wait to see you all---how soon?
You certainly have an artist. It must come from great great grandma Van Essen, or the Easton's.

I like the Mother Mouse in the last picture. The rabbits are very realistic. Very good for a four year old.

One of Button's faces reminds me of things My Mom would tell us if we made too many of those kinds of faces.
"Watch out that your face doesn't freeze that way."

Have you taught Button "loverly" yet? That would work quite well with her mahvelous accent!
The Snoopy look is SO FUNNY!
And you have quite the talented artist on your hands! I've never drawn such a wonderful mouse or rabbit in my entire 27 years! Amazing!

I LOVE Winnie's expressions!!! Hilarious! And Sqeaky's mouse looks straight from Richard Scarry to me; does she draw (pardon the pun) inspiration from his books? My children love all his stuff.
