Funny Kids, How I Love Them

Kids are so funny. Here we have Squeaky, wearing her favorite shirt. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she asks to wear this shirt every couple of days. I simply can't keep the laundry up with that kind of demand. Two minutes before this picture was taken she refused to smile, but then she apparently was struck by a ray of happiness and asked me to take this picture of her smiling in the chair.

Funny kid number two: here we have Button sporting a stylish crocheted bonnet with a summer dress. This would be wonderful except for two facts; 1) it was about 85 degrees out, and 2) the bonnet was made for 0-3 month old.

Did you know dresses are pesky little things? Especially when you haven't gotten your "sea legs" yet on solid ground. Dresses just get in the way! Good thing we can simply tie a knot at the back and solve the problem.Funny kid number three- this poor little baby managed to slump her little head nearly all the way out of this swing the other day (don't worry, she was belted in). Most babies would cry out in protest, but Winnie just quietly sat there sucking her thumb until Mommy noticed. No telling how long she had been doing that. I readjusted her in the swing and all she did was give me a little sigh of contentment

.Funny "kid" number four- let me just say that this Daddy has his girls in stitches every evening as they are waiting for supper to be served. He is willing to do pretty much any crazy jump or dance you could imagine just to see them laugh. :)

If I see Lael in pictures wearing her cute shirt over the next 6 years, I know it will be as popular as your "Gitano" shirt. I think you wore it from age 12 to 18. These pictures you posted are darling. If Dennis can do a dance and cheer them up, how about you doing one for them sometimes? Remember, I taught you "brother, come and dance with me..." You could use sister or daughter. Put on some loud peppy music and dance!
Love, Mom
P.S. You have a great husband. Wish him a happy Father's Day.

By the way, I just loved hearing Lael and Aria singing rind around the rosie. That was so sweet. Can't wait to see all of you. When I comment on Desiree's blog, I write, can't wait to see y'all.

You have lots of fun at your place judging by the pictures. I particularly like Button's dress style - those dresses get in the way for others besides little tots - it just isn't quite so couth for old Grannies to hoist up the tail of the dress and tie it in a knot.

It is evident that "Anonymous Mom" is getting excited with anticipation of coming events.

So, it finally happened, you know how everyone always asks who the baby looks like and of course she was too little to be able to tell but this picture of her in the swing is the first one for her where I can see is wowee, she looks like Dennis' baby picture!!

Y'all are so cute and funny. :) We were having some funny dressing around here today. Bai has been dabbling in lipstick and nail polish. Abby came wobbling in with a "silky" night shirt and mommy's high heels. (that was funny) Later I saw Ben giving the high heels a go. I guess it's OK just this once...

PS I agree with Brenda, Quinnie looks so much like Dennis in that photo!
