Saying Goodbye

Our last few days in Peterborough... What can I say? It is hard to describe what it is like saying goodbye to our friends. I've lived here for 7 of the last 8 years and feel like we are ripping out a lot of our roots. We are excited about what God has ahead for us, but it is so sad to leave friends behind. Yesterday the elders prayed for us at Westmount and we said goodbye to our friends there. Last night we had dinner at the Webbs and said a few more goodbyes. *sigh*

Things are coming along with packing. The girls are going up to Grampa and Gramma E's tonight for a few days and will meet us over in Durham later this week. Several friends are coming in today and tomorrow to help. We plan to load the truck tomorrow and pull out Wed. morning.

We don't have our new phone number yet, but please check our ministry blog's sidebar for our other contact info.

See you on the other side of the move!

Here's our cute little 4 month old!

I know the feeling.. of saying goodbye... just think of it this way. You will have a lot of hellos on the other end of the move and will be able to make a whole new group friends. ( Saying goodbye is still hard I know!!).

I will be praying for you as you move. I know it is busy and overwhelming.

Hope you have safe trip down and are able to get a few things put away before the girls get back. One thing that helped me a lot when we moved is having people help put the kitchen stuff away first. That way I could actually make meals etc with out sorting through boxes. the kitchen stuff actually when in the van instead of the moving truck that way it could be easily accessed.

any we will chat with you when you get moved.
we love you.

Praying for you very especially today and this week. The Lord is good--our refuge and strength. I am glad you will be having a lot of help these days in Peterborough. We have been praying for you for a long time about this move and ministry. We trust the Lord will give you calm reassurance and peace even in the midst of major disruption and adjustment. With love, Mom and Dad

"And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed." Duet. 31:8

I was looking for another portion but came to this one which seemed to fit the purpose so perhaps this is what the Lord has in mind for you now.

Love and prayers, A. Jean

I hope you show Squeak the secret cubby in the couch before you go or at least take a picture of it so that she can see it someday when she's older, I think it's a funny part of her childhood that she might want to laugh at in the future. Have fun packing, wish I could be there to help

Looking forward to meeting you on this side. Let us know if there is ANYTHING we can help you with. We'll come up for a visit once you get settled. We'll be praying for you and the girls as you make this big adjustment in your lives.
