I'm woefully behind on here, aren't I? Suffice it to say my last week has been taken up with looking after sick girls. I myself came down with it on Friday. Button finally got it this evening (fever, nasty cough, runny nose) so we're looking at another week or so of quarantine.

Looking on the bright side, we've had some fun here at home. Squeaky beat me at Candyland three times in a row on Sunday. She also beat me at Guess Who. She's pretty competitive- I wonder who that came from....?
We took the opportunity to go outside yesterday and today- the weather was very mild and the girls loved playing in the snow.
Here Button is playing with a little friend who lives nearby.

The best part about getting cold and snowy outside is coming in! The girls drank hot chocolate from mugs. They were pretty excited.

I've included a few extra pictures of Winnie because it occurred to me while looking through our pictures that her face is changing a lot. I hadn't noticed until now. She is really starting to lose her baby look.

And finally, here is me on the first day of adding things back into my diet. Rice never tasted so good. So far I've only added rice and milk (and white cheese) back. The milk and cheese are suspect as I have a killer headache tonight and some uncomfortable feelings in my tummy.

I've been tracking my dairy consumption and have found that I get pretty yucky feeling after drinking a large cup of milk - even the fantastic milk that I love! I read an article that said humans weren't meant to be able to digest dairy after they're weaned. Hmm. Curiouser and curiouser!

eww you got the bug too. Us too. Honey's been down since Sat. and today I've kept Jam home from school. So far her temp is just a bit up but if she gets like her sister... yuck. At least it's not a throw-upy sick. Does that make the glass half full? No, but maybe a quarter full. :)

All the pictures are so cute. Yes, Winnie is changing - I think she is starting to look more like big sister Squeaky.

Sure hope the big bugs move on quickly. Our house has been bug free but then we don't have any little tikes running around collecting them.

T. & Cammie had it a few weeks ago and I think Mark also came down with it afterwards but the rest of us stayed far away.

SYS (Sorry you're sick)! I hope that everyone will be better soon. I'm glad you got outside awhile when it was nice. I was really glad to see pictures of the girls again. They are really sweethearts. Does winning games consistently come from being a first born, or having super competetive parents. I never worry about winning a game. I just like to play. I like word and number games best. Colors? Well!

I read somewhere that when you go off of dairy for a while your body develops a kind of mild lactose intolerance, and needs a couple of days to start secreting the protein that your body needs to break down the dairy. The headaches sound suspect, but it's normal to have some intestinal discomfort at first when you bring it back into your diet. Give yourself a couple of days before making major conclusions and swearing off dairy for life! :)
