B: I want to do something fun, Mommy. I want to do something fun.
M: Ok, why don't you go do something then?
B: But I want to do something fun! (repeated 5 times)
M: You know what, I want to do something fun too, but instead I'm making supper. Why don't you go and play? You can be a kid!
B: But that's not fun! I want to do something fun!!!

Mom here. Put some ideas, crazy or great on some slips of paper and put them in a jar, box, basket or container. I do have 3 joy buckets here, one of which is yours. Anyway, if the subject arises again, just tell her you have a jar of ideas and she or you can pick one and that will be her "fun" activity. She'll have fun just not taking your suggestions or explanations verbally.
what a great idea Grandma VE!! But be sure that one of those ideas is "go visit aunt Bee" :)
oh, here I thought just being a kid would be fun... I guess my memory fails me :)

Its called "her rut"... it takes a derailment to get her off it.
