Well, November is now long gone and somehow I got derailed with my "Trip to the Ga'dang" story. I may get back around to finishing that story one of these days. Life moves on and the things are piling up that I want to write about.
Not everything that happens in life is big, and not all require reporting... but sometimes I like to talk about the little things because it is what we all have in common. It is also easier on the eyes to see only a couple of pictures and a little text, right? :)
For now I want to just mention that we are alive and getting ready for our Christmas break here. It is so weird, getting ready for Christmas in a tropical climate. I've never done my Christmas shopping while sweating before. I got a pair of socks in a white elephant gift exchange last night and could barely fathom the idea of putting those on my feet. I'd like to do some Christmas baking but the thought of turning the oven on for significant periods of time is a bit deterring.
Friday is our last day of class and I am so very ready for it! This past month has been more encouraging to us in our studies and I feel like perhaps I've moved past the plateau I was on in Sept.-October. Dennis, as always, is faithful at just plugging away and avoiding the emotional roller coaster that I manage to find myself on. He's doing great but will be glad for a break as well.

I am happy for you that the lang. studies have clicked better. It is kind of fun imagining Christmas in a tropical or sub tropical land. The Lord is just the same, all over and "He so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son." Trust you will enjoy that thought in a newer way as you experience Christmas this year. I hope your family can have some really close times together over your break. I love you. :)
Think of how cold it was last year when you were out walking in the early mornings. We had been doing some too until so much snow came and it got icy. Your ugly dog from last year seems to have disappeared so walking is not so dangerous!!
