Now I'm actually really glad I know how to jay walk. This talent has served me in good stead in a place where it is really "to each his own" when it comes to space. Crossing the street here takes some steel nerves and it took me several weeks before I attempted it on my own. I'm good at it now- and have almost been hit only a handful of times.
Here's a video I found on youtube of crossing the street here in Metro Manila. No joke, I've done this a hundred times now. Exactly like this.
Thank you to the video owner (I did not take this video)!

Wow! I'd be terrified, although I suppose it's something you get used to. Nice X post!
That is crazy and you've only been hit a handful of times ....... if that's what it is like as a pedestrian I wouldn't dare drive!! Good post.
Only hit a handful of times? Ummm...speechless!
Coming over from A-Z.

Haha! No, no, I haven't been hit a handful of times, I've narrowly MISSED being hit several times... You know, the kind of narrow miss that you can kind of feel the vehicle brush your clothes as it rushes by. But not hit. :)
Sorry, the sentence syntax was a little confusing.
Wow- I've crossed freeways a few times, very illegal! I'm trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge Blogs this month. My alphabet is at myqualityday.blogspot.com
