Making Cards

Well, first order of business: no baby yet- 40 weeks, 3 days today. This morning I woke up pretty emotionally and physically frazzled, and Dennis' parents kindly agreed to take the girls for a little while. We drove them half way and Mom E and Aunt Bee met us in the middle. Thank you!

This is Daddy's reward for coming home from work! Button is about the cuddliest baby ever. She puts her head down like this for long periods of time. This time I think it was about 10 minutes.
In other news. I like to make cards. Today I worked on a few to give to a friend.

This is the inside of the card...

Hi Val, I really like your colorful cards, they are more eye catching than some that I have seen. A good idea to make sets for gifts.

I hope that baby arrives while the girls are enjoyiing some special time with Grandma & Grandpa Easton.

Love, A. Jean

hey Val. Those cards look great.

Hope your little one arrives soon. Don't forget it is a delivery month not just the day- so any time from 38 -42 weeks is considered term. I know it is hard to be in the waiting mode though. (I have never had to do it so I am not talking from experince here.) I am praying for you.
Enjoy Easter Sunday as we remember HE IS RISEN. I am home with the kids today as a few of us are sick with a spring cold.

take care.
love Sarah

Looks like fun! Hope you are unable to get this due to having a baby... but hi anyways!

Sweetheart, instead of bugging you today, I just want you to know that we are praying for you and that you will have the little one soon. I am very glad that the girls could go to their grandparents. Maybe you can get some preliminary rest before the little one gets there. I hope it is today. Wish I could be there with you and for you. The Lord is at hand, and He will be with you through the waiting, labor and delivery. Love to you, Mom and Dad

Hi Valerie
I haven't forgotten how incredibly emotionally draining it is to go overdue! especially when the first two came early. Micah and Jonah were both more than two weeks early and Levi two weeks overdue. I cried more in two weeks than I had in two years! I'm praying your baby comes very soon! - I stayed home from church at 1 week overdue because I told Matt I couldn't be responsible for my actions if someone asked me if I was still here! Praying all goes well and soon!

Your cards are beautiful! An excellent project to do to help get your mind off of the anxiety of waiting for a baby to come.

My first baby was 8 days late so I know the frustration of waiting "endlessly." In the end, he was induced and that experience was enough to cement in my mind that a late baby who comes on his own is better than an induced one. (Not the actual baby of course! But the labor and delivery.) I wish I could say "never again" but now that I'm pregnant with #3, who knows what the experience will be with this delivery. :) Each one is so different. I hope you can bide your time patiently and just enjoy your rest and time of relaxing. I'm praying for you... I know, understand and can relate to your feelings of being sick of waiting! It always helped me to remember that after the baby is finally here, come the sleepless nights, the discomforts and pain after delivery and the adjustment to nursing. It'll all be yours soon so enjoy your "free" time now. :)
