Gearing up

Well, here we are, the night before classes, well orientation anyway, begin. I guess I should be lining up my outfit for tomorrow on the bed and making sure I have my pens and pencils all ready. Funny how things like that move aside for other things like making sure I have enough diapers to protect an army of children of all shapes and sizes for the day. Oh, and we can't forget their extra outfits, hats, shoes, jackets, etc etc etc.... I'll be happy if I make it to the classroom without my pajamas on. :)

We are excited though and looking forward to seeing how God teaches us and guides us in this new phase of life.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a nice day to take it easy. We haven't done that in a long, long time. We slept in as long as childrenly possible, then packed up and went to the next largest town to the Wal-Mart and Zellers. Squeaky got a much needed haircut. Believe it or not the last time she got her hair cut was in December when I documented it on this blog.

Then in the evening we went down to the swings by the lake and let the girls have a look around at their new home.

Girls don't look any the worse for the wear. I guess they just weren't as worn out as Mom & Dad.

Nice looking area you are in.

Love, A. jean

I'll be praying for you all as you start this adventure! The girls are getting so "grown-up" looking and your new home looks super comfy (I checked out your FB album). Have a wonderful first week of classes!

Dear Val and Dennis,
It is so special to see where you are and how the Lord has brought you this far. I invited Cindy Worley over to see the pictures and she said to tell you "hi, and that your little girls are adorable and precious." I whole-heartedly agree with her. I hope your first day is going well. I forget what you said about where the girls are when you go to class and if you, Val, are in classes all day? Praying for you, Mom and Dad
